Doing my first valve check.

As the title says...its a 1100s. I've got the horiz/vert cyl tdc thing under control as well as he opener clearance. So for the closers I push down on the spring or rocker and measure under the closer shim and that is the closer shim gap? I can't recall but I think I have heard something about loaded or unloaded closer measurements?

I found them after posting. I did end up watching both valve videos and both belt videos. I believe people are just referring to how Chris shows two ways to measure. I am pretty well set on what to do the return springs just make it much higher effort than the video shows.
