2010 - Up Torque Values
I have a 2010 Evo SP and I have been looking for the torque values. I have found the 2008-2009 numbers but not the 2010 and up. I know that most are the same but the engine and a few others are different. I realize that I can purchase the shop manual but I don't plan on doing anything other than normal maintenance like fluid changes, wheel and brake removal and tightening misc. bolts etc.

I already tried that. If you have a 2007-2009 model there is all kinds of info. out there, unfortunately there isn't that much on 2010 or newer yet.

I found a pdf on here for the 2007-2009 models that it looked like someone had created from their service manual. I was hoping that someone had something similar for the Evo. I might have to break down and get the service manual CD but I am hoping that someone might have them here.

So, what is the correct torque for the drain plug and the mesh filter? I have seen everything from 15 to 30nm for the drain plug and nothing real solid for the mesh filter either.

The shop manual for the 2010 Evo/Evo SP had the incorrect drain plug size and torque. It had the plug listed for the 2007-2009 hyper which is much larger and it also had the torque value for the larger plug which is twice that of the correct plug. Maybe that is why there is so much confusion about the torque on these plugs. The oil filter screen and plug is the same torque as the 2007-2009 bikes. I had the Service Manager at my dealer verify the torques and then I edited the copy of the torque values that he gave me. Here they are. There are 3 numbers - recommended torque, minimum torque and maximum torque. All values are nm.
Pick-up filter housing plug M32x1.5 42 38 46
Oil pick-up filter M22x1.5 42 38 46
Oil drain plug with magnet M12x1.5 20 18 22
