Explosions on decel!
Ok, explosions may be a bit of an exaggeration but it sure sounds like it. This isn't your usual popping but rather ear deafening bombs when going from say half open to closed throttle.
I just finished installing a full zard penta exhaust with the MWR full lid airbox replacement and an ecu reflash from Proitalia on my 2010 EVO.
I don't necessarily mind the noise as it sure does get the attention of the usually oblivious cattle walking the streets of NYC but I am worried that it is running WAY too rich. Should I be worried? Is this doing any damage to the engine? The brand new headers are already a deep blue/purple from the intense(r) heat.
Should I invest in a PCV as the reflash now made the ecu an open loop?
Attached is a pic of the her all set up.

Sounds like you're running too lean, not too rich! A PCV with a custom map, or any of the other aftermarket interfaces, I just happen to have great experiences with Dynojet & their products & tuning stations are easy to find, but the custol map is the key!
I had a full Termi 2-1, MWR full lid and was STILL running rich as hell. The thing runs like a dream now. Here's my chart:

You can see how rich I was running top & bottom, before getting the custom map!

I agree with the lean diagnosis.
Lean also means hotter which isn't the best.
This can also happen if your exhaust install allows air into the system (any leaks?).
It sounds like you need to richen it up which also allows the engine to run cooler. I did this on my 09 model with the fatducs which I am happy with.

Ok...I'm admittedly new to this whole customizing thing. My previous experience has been to drop it off at the dealer and then pick up back up.
I had assumed rich = too much fuel and in turn the excess fuel was being expelled out the exhaust causing the popping.
How would I know if the exhaust is leaking or getting air in? I did do the install on my own so its definitely possible...

Also, anyone know if I can use a fatduc on a 2010 Evo after having had the ecu reflashed to an open loop?

FatDuc would not be seen if it is flashed that way.
Did you install and set the idle trim and reset the TPS or did your local dealer?

From my understanding the 2010 and newer seimens ecu's TPS are self reseting.

There is no Fatduc option for the EVO/Seimens configuration. Yes, the TPS resets itself on the EVO.

Thanks GRR, that's what I thought.
Anyone have any idea how I would check for a leak in the exhaust system? I thought it was pretty straight forward as far as install. Maybe I missed something?

Take a cigarette, or any other smoke producing device and blow smoke around the header flange and all the joints on the pipes. If there's a leak, you should see the smoke being drawn in through the space.
While the bike is running and on the stand, of course!
