Any Ideas?
Just curious about what others are doing as far as radar detector placement?
I've got an Escort and previously had it mounted here (See Pic), but just installed a Fabbri windscreen and it's a little too tight. I'm worried about damaging the screen.
What have you guys done?

Not much, since they're illegal here. Only legal radar detectors allowed are your eyes unfortunately
But, can't you install it in the little side fairing where the toolbox usually goes?

Not sure if it's wide enough? I could mount it side ways, but then, I'm not sure if it changes it's effectivness?

In one of the slots of the beak?
Perhaps then you need to fabric a waterproof housing for the detector but it might work. Perphas otherwise it's possible to place only the detectors "eye" in the beak opening and extend the wires to the detector further in the beak or elsewhere on the bike. (tool cabinet).
Just an idea....

Thanks for the Info guys, but I solved it. The Pic on the left was where I had the stem stand mounted to the fairing. Too tight & close to the newly installed Fabri windscreen, and it blocked out the left side of the gauge.
Pic on right is where I drilled and tapped the steering stabilizer bracket and bolted it up there. it moved it back about 60mm and left about 40mm, still keeping it behind & protected by the windscreen, and clearing up the gauge.

The new view from riding position.
Gauge fully visible, screen out of harm, detector protected from view & weather behind screen, and mounted firmly to CNC steering stabilizer bracket.
