Could this Ohlins shock be faked?
I saw a deal on ebay incredible tempting. Ducati NOS Ohlins Rear Shock to suit Hypermotard - D36520811A | eBay
But it does not look as the same as on proitalia site or the link below - colow inside the spring and shape of the plate at the bottom of the spring. The seller claim they are the same parts. My question is, is there any chance it could be a fake one?

Site like proitalia are showing default picture for Ohlins PN S46PR1C1 which is the Ohlins reference for the Hyper shock.
The picture on ebay is the real thing.
I paid mine 500$ with shipping to Canada, and it made a nice difference over the Sachs unit from the standard Hyper. Way better suited for my light weight.
Tho, I know Ohlins gold is nice looking, but for that kind of price, I'd give a call to Traxxion and get a Penske.
That's what I should have done.

I had a Penske on my Racebike (R6), it was badazz. I would go with that in a minute.

Looks exactly like the Ohlins rear shock on my HM - as long as you have the correct spring for your weight it works a treat. :-)

The Ohlins spring has a spring code stamped on it, you can call the dealer for the stock # and then use the Ohlins spring chart to go up or down if needed. Aloha Alex

I'd say the same chance that you are 100% paranoid about everything.
