Hyper customising :-)

Newby here to the world of Ducati, had lots of jap bikes over the years. Really enjoying the Hypermotard. Great fun to ride and not as silly on the speed side of things compared to my Gixxer.

One good thing I have noticed is the wealth of information and great support from the online community and online parts people about adding performance bits and accessories. I have dealt with, to name a few, ProItalia, Blair at SVracingparts, Scotts and Intake Express and all have been helpful.

Made a few cosmetic changes to add bling - open clutch, fluid containers, carbon bits, mirrors and fender eliminator.

Performance wise 14 tooth cog, termi slip on, cat elim, Scotts steering damper and velocity stacks.

Yet to ride it with the velocity stacks on as it is in Bunbury until the weekend. To make the wait even harder Todd Patterson from Intake Express sent me the dyno chart from the PUK (velocity stacks) install. Over 100 HP with stock headers I am a very happy chappy.

Will report back after a seat of the pants test.

Any thoughts on what should be next? Cams, 2 into 1, etc

Nice looking scooter mate, great choice (in my opinion) on the Woodcraft clutch cover, I can tell you it's very rugged as I crash tested mine at the track last year.. One hell of a lot better than the CF one that was on there, once again, in my opinion. I know a few folks downundah, in the Yamaha FJ group, great bunch for Convict Scum (their words not mine) .

The 2010 color is the best looking, IMO..
Of course I'm probably partial as I own the same year/color combo, looking at your Hyper gives me some great ideas, Dint know DP offered cams for the 1100 evo motor, thanks for sharing.

Any tips on that rather than pulling the back off the bike?

I'm curious, who's cat eliminator did you use and do you have a PC5 for the tuning or just the DP ECU that comes with the slip ons?

Unless you need to change spring you should be able to set the sag without pulling anything. I used a piece of aluminum rod to loosen the lock ring (did leave a mark) and then turned the spring by hand. The adjusting ring moved with the spring. It definitely helps to have someone assist you.

If you do pull the shock these collars would be a nice upgrade.
Preload Collars

This is a great book on suspensin setup. Written for sport bikes but the concepts are valid for the HM and Adrew has a lot of pictures of Ducatis in it!

Better get those cams quick. The supplies are nearly dried up.
