ECU reflash - check engine light
Just installed my new ECU that was reflashed for a 2010 Hyper EVO SP with leo vince CAT elim, MWR air filter, o2 sensor removal, and EV removal. The problem now is that AFTER I start the bike the check engine light comes on. Anyone know what this might mean or how to reset it? I don't think it's because the o2 sensors or EV is unplugged because that check engine light for that came on BEFORE I would start the engine with the old ECU.....

Before you start the engine the error light may be on even when there is no error, if its on when running its a valid check error light.

I had a similar issue with an exhaust valve on flashed ECU, I had to reinstall the valve motor & trick it into thinking it was opening something...

where can I have my 2010 Hypermotard 1100 evo ecu reflashed and how much? I am interested in getting rid of the o2 sensors and exhaust valve although I've already purchased a Duc.ee exhaust valve emulator. I'm doing a winter build up and it includes Lv cat eliminator, velocity stacks and pods, exhaust valve removed, lightened flywheel, Power commander V with lcd200 and autotune 300, the issue I have is that PcV comes with the O2 optimiser which is a stand alone unit used to manipulate the o2 sensors. It doesn't communicate with the pcv and has to be monitored and adjusted by pc separately, to run the auto tune I have to add two more o2 sensors for it to moniter a/f, ex.temps etc. and do its job. I think I'd rather have the ecu reflashed to get rid of the factory o2's and power commander o2optimiser, then use their bungs for the auto tunes o2 sensors which as I understand it will manipulate the pcv's map for perfect a/f ratio and auto tune the efi system. So where can I send my ecu to have it reflashed? also on a reflash can they eliminate the service wrench reminders alltogether?
thanks in advance

Had my ECU re flashed by Moto-lab, Anthony did a bang up job..
My re flash was for the Zard slip on, LV cat eliminator, 02 eliminated also along with the flapper valve and the MWR air filter.
I've had no issues or the check engine on, my Hyper is a 2010 1100 evo Sp.

+1 on moto-lab
i got the pro-tune kit from moto-wheels, and they made me 4 customs maps (till we got an ideal AFR due to my mods being different) bigger stack kit :0)
i simply plugged the pro-tune module into my ecu waited about 1 minute, for them to have a chat (running no o2's no flapper valve etc) and wahla done) no lights no errors , juts insane misile bezzerk power
to the OP seems to me like you are trying to complicate something quite simple? why the lightened fly wheel , in the evo bikes you already have one??? and whay not just run the PCV alone, they work great on these motors you can do w/ or w/ out O2....
so can can get flashed at moto-lab, desmo-works, moto-wheels, etc
for us folks in oz that have added stacks and pipes to our bikes (flashing has added 10-12 rwhp) PCV has (with stacks exhaust) added around 12-14 rwhp
check some of MR r 's posts he has LV headers and the wasp works power up kit...PCV 101 rwhp from memory....wow!

I might be missing something and I am sorry if I mislead you but I have a 2011 evo and I have a stock ECU using Bazzaz with autotune. I removed both O2 sensors and I plugged in the O2 eliminator modules into the original harness. I then installed my autotune sensor into my Leo Vince cat eliminator port and plugged the original ports. I installed the Duc.ee exhaust valve eliminator and removed the entire servo motor and cables. With this setup my Bazzaz controls the fuel delivery using the custom maps I built using the autotune feature. I really don't think you need to get your ECU reflashed if your pcv functions similar to the Bazzaz.

How did you deal with the close loop section of the ecu? That is what the optimizer is for

I am not an expert on how the Bazzaz works but I will try to explain how I understand it. I can't remember the exact figures but the stock ECU is set at an air fuel ratio of around 14.7 (way lean) in the closed loop and doesn't change much out side of that. The Bazzaz is between the ECU and the injectors intervening with the a/f ratio that I assign each sector. If I assign all sectors at 13.2 ratio then the Bazzaz changes what comes from the ECU to the desired a/f ratio. Each sector is nothing more than a throttle % and a rpm so I can adjust from 0 % to 100 % throttle and from 1500 rpm to redline. What is sweet about adjusting sectors is if you nail the throttle to 100% it develops a lean condition because the rush of air so you can richen these sectors to smooth out the map. When I change a range of sectors I can instantly feel the change. Like I said I am not an expert but what I do know is that it works with a stock ECU. I have only have experience with Bazzaz so the PCV may be different. There are some good threads on the PCV that may explain how it works better.
