2010-12 Evo Sp suspension mods

I have been doing some searching and haven't found a lot of good suspension advice for a 2010-12 Sp. What's the best bang for the buck suspension mods for the front and rear end? Just looking for a drop in cartridge or re-valve and re-spring from race tech. I have had great luck with the race tech in the past on other bikes but I'm hoping I can get some direction for a Sp. I'm 170 lbs. btw

You shouldn't need too much, the stock springs should be close for your weight, the rear shock is a Ohlins, not much out there better than that, for the front, theres nothing for the SP forks that I'm aware of, so I suggest maybe refresh the fork oil with 7.5w set the air- gap, set the sag, get the compression & rebound dialed in, (for both) & then ride the crap out of her, until something comes along if you still feel the need. I'm running the stock forks with just heavier springs, & it works pretty good. Aloha Alex

+1 on what 08hyper said.
Rear ohlins is really good and as for the front after setting sag try some different rebound and compression settings and you're gonna find the right balance at least for street riding.
And a quick question for Alex or anyone who knows: How much air gap in the forks and how much SAG for evo sp (front and rear)?
Is it the same with earlier hypermotards or it changes given the higher suspention travel of the evo sp?

Not 100% sure about the SP never had one apart, but a airgap of 130mm & sag of 55mm front & 45mm rear should get you in the ballpark. Aloha Alex

This is the kind of information I'm looking for. I hope there is some more people out there with a more definitive answer. As with every bike I have owned I found huge improvement with minor tweaks like air gap, spring rate and valving.
