Need help with wiring!

so ive searched and read a few threads but nothing to help. I know this sounds like a dumb question but i recently bought the competition werkes plate relocator and im having trouble with the wiring, When i go to plug the new turn signals that came with the kit back in the turn signals flash really fast and barely at allin the back and not bright at all, also the turn signal indicator on the dash doesnt blink? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your help

Stock rear signals are bulbs and draw more juice than LEDs. This drop in current demand is seen by System as a bad bulb and flashes fast to let you know. Need loading resistors

Electrical Tech Heads- Help Work This Out.

Lots more threads. Look under "turn signals"

desmo, not exactly sure what your asking?

i used the stock connectors and soldered them to the new rear turn signals, and this started happening. But basically its b/c the rear is LED now and the front blinkers are just lamps? is that why?

im really frustrated with this and would really love to fix this ASAP so any help is appreciated.

Follow Mr. Mike's consulting on this per his post. since you've already cut everything and performed soldering, all you need to do is add the correct resistors between your splice and that will solve it. Why competition werkes offers a product that is not turn key is beyond me. A little R&D goes a long way.

Have you called CW?

CW's FE set up is bulb in socket, incandescent 23W-12V. You need 10W since the stock bulbs are 10W. Stock bulbs will not fit into the CW sockets.

If you bought that new from CW call them and get the right FN bulbs, they have them. Simplicity at its best.

Or get the osram sylvania 64113, 10W 12V T2 3/4 Halogen bulb, BA9S / mini bayonet OS64113

There is nothing else to say here

except apply a little patience in what you're doing

I can on my HYM 1100 -08 change in the dashboard between bulb and LED turn signals. Should fix your problem without the need to add resistors.
Or is this feature removed on newer bikes?

Service MENU - Rear Turn Indicators Setup
This Function allows you to set the correct piloting of the rear turn indicators.
The vehicle comes as standard with bulb rear turn indicators (10W); if the owner wishes to change them and
fit Led Ducati Performance indicators, after installation it is also necessary to set them within this page of the
Service MENU.
To view this function, access the "SERVICE MENU" and enter the "Set INDIC" page.
Then press button B for 3 sec. to enter the "SEt" mode.
The display reads "LAMP" (bulb type); press button A (s) to switch to "LED" (Led type).
Once the correct type of turn indicator is set, press button B and hold for 3 sec. until "MEM" (memorised) is
displayed.
Take the key to "OFF" to save and quit this function. Upon the following Key-On, the Dashboard goes back to
normal operation.

Why not ditch the turn signals for the integrated turn tail light. Mine works fine.

so basically your saying i need to install 10w resistors on all 3 of the wires? the right turn signal, left turn signal and the led license plate light? is this correct?
and what is the difference between a resistor and a load equalizer?

thank you all again for the advice
