Hyper Upgrade - Flywheel / Cams or Both?
I have an '08 Hyper with 15,000 miles and am planning to spend a little money on her while she is in for service. I don't race her but enjoy some spirited canyon runs and am most interested in a low to mid range increase.
To those who have perform some upgrades, can you provide some insight on which would give the best bang for the buck. I have a few upgrades at present, two to two Termi and down one tooth in the front.
Thanks for you thoughts.

I have the same bike with the Termi 2 to 1 exhaust, Duc Shop velocity stacks, DP cams, and DP flywheel. I immediately noticed the throttle not being as sensitive and the bike pulling much harder to the rev limiter. It's definitely quicker. I did everything at once, so I can't really say where I got the biggest bang, but it definitely transformed the bike.

if you have the tools to do it yourself... the lightened ducshop flywheel at $75 is by far the best performance bang for the buck.. turns faster and accelerates quicker.

My bike as 2-2 LeoVince full system, DP Cams and Termi ECU. I bought it like that so I can't really speak personally of the difference, but a few people have ridden my bike that have also ridden completely stock and just piped bikes and they felt the cams really made a difference.
where are you seeing these flywheels for $75? I've only seen them on BellissiMoto and they're $320

Wow, surf the web. I'm thinking the DP flywheel was less than a hundred bucks. I remember what a deal it was in relation to the other items. Good luck, you won't regret your expenditures.

If you haven't done it already, the MWR filter that replaces the top of the airbox, or a set of DucShop velocity stacks. Coupled with a tuned ecu, either will make a larger difference than all the other mods combined. The extra flow would probably would make the cams more beneficial too. Big midrange gains.

Best bang for your buck would be using the "Search" tab up on grey bar to the right.
Answer?....Stacks.
If too much?...sell Ducati, buy a japanese bike.

ha ha ha... yea well, I learned my lesson and now I'm imparting my knowledge so others don't make the same mistake of waiting and burning through cash on lots of other stuff. I think we had a list of order of mods to be done to the hyper somewhere in the forum didn't we?
