Please help. 2008 Hypermotard- I need info on gears behind the flywheel
Hello all. I bought a 2008 1100 Hypermotard recently with 3000 miles and it got stuck in gear...turns out the Shifter Return Spring broke after it came into contact with one of the gears from ''factory mal adjustment of the shifter arm.'' I replaced the spring, bought the alignment tool, put the updated alignment bolt kit on it, and even bought a new lighter flywheel to put on while I had the case open.
I made a small mistake though and was wondering if some of you know anything about the alignment of the gear dots. The small timing gear came off along with the flywheel while I had this whole project going on. If it's anything like a car I'm guessing you have to align the gears at TDC?
