Flat black hyper.. thoughts
I have been playing around with the idea of leaving my frame red and painting the rest flat black.. Getting ducati logos in gloss black. Anyone done this already? Trying to see what it would look like.
Thanks.

That would be really cool... If I could do it again, I would have bought a red-framed Hyper, and had done just ^that^

Thats what I did with mine a while back. Sans glossy decals. It took me to 2 paint jobs to get it right though (noob). I also ended up taking the subframe off and giving a light sanding and a couple coats of the flat black. looks way better than the metallic grey.
It comes in handy if you find another set of wrecked fairings and fix them up. I patched up 2 sets of hyper fairings and they have turned out almost better than the new ones.
- Factory red w/white stripe down the middle
- High gloss black w/red factory decals
- Flat satin black
.....also works great if you commute daily on the bike and end up ticking a few people off. Just change the hyper's "clothes"
