Ducati hypermotard Carbon fibre
Hey. I'm new at this forum and pretty new on my hyper too. But I was thinking about buy some carbon and my local dealer wants $1000 for the nose fairing. At ebay I can find it for $150 which is a preeetty huge difference. The other parts is some difference but not the same.
My question here is about the quality and fit.
For example:
Ducati Hypermotard 1100 07 08 Carbon Fiber Nose Fairing | eBay
Is this crap or could it work?
My English is pretty bad so feel free to correct me. From Sweden and does go to school anymore so!
At last: two picture of my bike and a bike which is the inspiration!

Not sure about shipping, but both Shift-Tech and MotoWheels sell quality carbon fiber parts.
Both have nose pieces for ~$400.

Magical Racing out of Japan is on par with shift tech. I just bought carbon fiber windscreen and everything ( shipping, instructions, parts, etc ) was top notch.

I could tell you about how and which CF seller on this site gets their parts from the same manufacturer, but i don't want to blow anyone's cover.
let me just say that for non-structural parts (such as the fairings) some of the ebay/chinese stuff is virtually indistinguishable from the DP stuff. Look at the feedback of the ebay seller of course, but generally I'd say you're going to be ok paying $150 for a front beak... don't ask me how I know.

How about the tank cover? It'll be my first carbon piece and was thinking this to be the first to get the carbon. It should be a pretty simple part to do well right? Would tekarbon's be sufficiently nice?

I too have had great experience with Tekarbon. Very reasonable prices, great quality and they sent one product to my wrong house, and immediately sent a duplicate to the right address. Months later, I eventually got the original parcel and returned it to them. Great company!
