Where the heck is the rev limiter?

So went out for a ride with my 796 and my buddy and he has this gsxr 1000. I never really try and keep up but I said this time im gonna really see what I can get out of my 796. So after weaving through traffic we hit a nice stretch and I wasn't that far off his tail and I look down finally and im at 212 km/hr. I never have passed the 7500 rpm mark before cuz the owner manual says never exceed 7000 rpm. I was paying most attention to the road not to my instrument panel but I never got a red light or anything. Where is the limit supposed to be?

How many engines do you use per year again, Alex?

If you have a reflashed ECU, the rev limit could have been shifted up the rev range. The 1100 starts flashing at some 8000, then you get 500rpm of goodness before you start hitting the big wall. I keep saying a 11500 rpm 2v is the way to go, but no one wants to listen

11500 rpm is too low, with my reflashed ECU lights come on at 14,500 rpm, 15,000 at the big wall, Ti valves & springs help me to do this. THIS is why my Hyper is SOO FAST!! . Aloha Alex

Well I would not ask if the information was available in the manual. It states the max power achieved at what RPM and states Maximum speed should not be reached until the correct running in period is reached. But thanks for all your wisdom. Oh and I neglected to mention I have the DP ecu and none of the literature that came with that states anything about the rev range.

Is it true that If you have a warranty issue Ducati can look back at the rev limit of the break in period? I heard this but i hope they wouldn't do that?
