flashing dashboard software?
Hey all,
does anyone know who can flash or reprogram the Hypermotard dashboards?
We have a basket case Hypermotard here that came with everything, but had the dash broken in an accident. Now we were experimenting with putting one of the dashboards we already had from other Hypermotards on the bike, but it won´t start.
Anyone have a clue who could fix this?

You need to have the immobilizer disabled. Depending on the year bike, that answer cannot be given. Also, since the dash was damaged, make sure the immobilizer is still connected/not broken if there was any damage around the ignition switch... doesn't hurt to check.

Hi Gilly, the physical part of the immobilizer, the antenna, is still intact around the ignition key switch.
Do you know someone who can disable the immobilizer?
The bike is a 2008 Hypermotard base model.

No, why? I thought the only thing you can do with the DDA is read from the stick and not put in any information.

i know this sounds stupid but you can take the chip out of the key and glue it near the antenna, if you can do that , its just wiring if you understand it,bust out the test light and start following wiring to bypass it.its not sending a magical signal to the ecu just some current, you can wire around that, it will take some time messing with it. and download the owners manual and follow the wiring diagram. just like hot wiring a car!
