Hyper Oil Drain Plug
Hello all. Anyone know the proper foot pounds of torque needed for the oil drain plug on our Hypers? I've heard 32 foot pounds but that seems like waaaaaay too much for a bolt that small.
Many thanks.

You sure you got the right bolt? The drain plug is huge. I have always used 42nm also.

Yes, definitely have the right bolt. My Ducati Dealer said 32fps but just wanted to double check.

Depends on the year - 2010 and up 1100 uses the small plug out of the 1098 with 12mm thread. I think the torque spec on it is 20nm.

Good reason to have a manual and the service manual , and to list what year of bike in the signature.
And to be wary of Anything you read on the internet...
Make sure and ask Questions...
