Chain for the hyper
So, my chain is at its end after serving the bike for 12.000 miles, and I need a new one, together with new sprockets(they're not worn, but I might as well replace those too since they will be in a few thousand miles). I was looking at getting AFAM sprockets, but don't know which yet( will probably keep same ratio as the power's good as is). What chain do you guys run on it? I want something that lasts a bit longer than just 12k miles, so O-ring will be out of the question, but what kind of X or Z ring chain should I get?

EK MVXZ Series... tensile strength is 9,300 lbs. for 525 pitch. They run for $150 USD.

I had a DID ERV2 on a previous bike and liked it.
I'll probably try the ERV3 on the Hyper when the time comes.

Well, I've heard the x-ring seals are better than o-rings. And this is my 2nd set of o-rings that has died within 12k miles

I use the D.I.D 520 ZVM-X chain, (X ring) the only 520 chain that I know of that is rated to 1200cc. (Superstrong)
I also use a Supersprox rear steel/aluminum sprocket, with the 520 chain, & have about 10,000 mi on it, so far so good.
I hear that a "O" ring chain seals better but a "X" ring chain has less friction. Aloha Alex

when there are hard chunks or links in the chain, or you can pull the chain 3-4mm from the rear sprocket, or you feel a weird ticking sensation in your right footpeg which goes faster and slower as you accelerate and decelerate.

So I came across the DID 525VM2 which seems to be listed for my bike, is this the correct one?
