DP handguards o 796
Just received DP handguards and mirrors. Any one installed these?
Seems like they fit better on the 1100 since the fluid reservoirs are mounted different. I got the mirrors to fit despite the crappy black and white pictures in the installation guide, basically useless since I could not make out anything from them.
The handguards came with color photos but the quality is rubbish. I can fit them on the bike but the part about how to add the optional extension on the guard I'm a bit usure of...
Any suggestions or proper photos?
Thanks and kind regards!

I installed my DP mirrors and handguards about 3 weeks ago. Mirrors went on fine, but the handguards were a pain in the ass.
I had to cut just about everything included as mounting hardware and even my handlebar since it leaves an openening in them if you don't cut it. In the end though, I'm pleased with the results, but I can't believe how crappy the instructions and fitting were.
Have fun!

That is a 1100 by the looks of it, I believe they do fit better because of the different fluid reservoirs. On a 796 it does not seem to fit well. I cant even use the aluminum clamp for the hand guard since it clashes in to other parts. Am away at the moment so cant post any photos...

Did they drop down the levers to make it work? I fitted one before I had to leave urgently for work and did not have to much time to play around. Did they use the original hand guard clamp or the aluminum clamp that came with the kit for hand guards?
Cant really see the details from your link but thanks anyway
Kind regards

I don't know if id do that cuz that shit doesn't come off easy. My hand guard was loose when I replaced it after i dropped my bike on myself and I broke the mirror. I loaded it with threadlock and let it set and its fine now. At least that stuff aint hard to remove if you ever have to.

dimitri, where did you apply the threadlock? is it where the hand guards meet the handlebar?
