Power Commander V on my 2010 1100 Evo. 2 Thumbs Up!

I started a new thread for this because "HM is so bad at low rev/speed. Is there a fix" was getting too long and off track.

Dynojet put a PCV and Optimizer on my stock 2010 Evo yesterday. I took it out today and can say it fixed the low speed fueling issues and cleaned up the entire RPM range. It also idles betters.

The only mod on my bike is a 14T counter shaft sprocket. I was able to idle along at 20 mph in first and 25 mph in second with no chatter. I stopped to get gas and maneuvering through a crowded gas station was no problem. Also, it seemed to run better all through the rpm range. It didn't pick up a lot of torque or power but it just seems to run cleaner.

Now I want an LV CAT delete and modified air box lid!

Quote from Dynojet
"Part #14-008 for the HM796 goes straight on. We adjusted the closed loop settings of the Optimizer slightly but that is it. Part #14-009 should start shipping by end of the week. Thanks."

Thanks Johnnie;
Mine is nothing like yours but I hope to add an LV cat delete, open the airbox and some other goodies soon.

The dyno chart was telling, more than 50 lb-ft of torque at 3000 rpm! No wonder it wheelies so easy!

de cat will help but the stacks will make that torque curve never end or dip like it does,the bike is running out of air at the top end of your rpm range.

i bet you'll get 10 hp and torque just with those two mods

Thanks El Tardo;
Your Hyper is very nice also! I liked your "what to do when the wifes out of town? work on my slip on project!!" post.

I'm an old guy and the Hyper actually has enough power for me as is. I wanted to eliminate the low speed fueling issue and it runs great now. The small increase seen on the dyno chart actually translates into a nice boost on the road.

I am actually more interested in a slipper clutch, new fork\shock springs and reducing weight (mine and the hyper's!) than adding noise and power. I spend most of my time looking for a place to do a wheelie and a stoppie without losing my license!

I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read that, it would surely have been expelled all over the keyboard!

I do like the stealth. I ride near horse trails and camp grounds a lot and we don't need any more anti-motorcycle laws in CA!

PCV and Rain

Hi,

I had a PCV on my harley, and when it rained, water would get in the coupling (or something like that) and the bike wouldn't start anymore...this was a common problem amongst the Harley Dyna community, and although it only happened to me once, after a very hard rain, I ended up taking it off.

Is this true of the one for the Hyper as well? I also want to get rid of the low rev bla bla bla and i don't want to change the entire exhaust system since I like the look of the original, and don't feel i need the extra hp.
Like you, all I have is the 14t.

Thanks for any info/insight
