1 CAN STOCK and 1 CAN NOT

Been experimenting with stock cored cans
I like the look and ruggedness of them.
Also with Duc rack, they dont stick out.
Anyway after trying core info on this forum (very bad sound) I decided to totally gut them and installed these.

After experimenting with baffle inserts and combos I came up with this....

If you look close at the end of the video youl see the right side is completely stock and the left has 4" - 1 5/8" insert with no baffle.

Nice low growl, not too loud, and best of all , no annoying buz or harmonic
wierdness at speed. Is not loud in helmet. Very pleasant sound.

Im very happy with this setup. No plans to put My LV cans back on.

Typical hack 'em up core job sounds like ass on the 1100 for sure.

It took a bit of tuning but I have a loud and quiet version of the can mod I switch from that I really enjoy the sound of.

I tried the coring method discussed in this forum and was not happy with outcome. Bike sounded like it had a leaky exhaust. I fixed the issue by opening the cans and completely replacing the 25mm outlet pipe partially removed by the initial coring job and re-fabricating outlet pipes using 40mm pipe. So the cans are essentially the same as the standard configuration except with a larger diameter pipe. Outcome is a deeper tone without the harsh leaky exhaust sound with better gas flow.
