Removing that supid Shell Oil sticker

I tried removing it with my finger nails when the bike was cold and ended up with 1/2 a sticker and one big sticky mess. Any tips on removing and cleaning the goo without damaging the finish on the clutch cover?

Thanks

Wet gasoline on a rag makes the sticker gummy enough to remove with fingernails. Afterwards the same gas soaked rag wipes of all the residue. Gas won't hurt the finish at all.

Ironically I probably would have kept my Shell sticker on had it not just started to cleanly peel off on its own shortly after I got my Hyper.

Ok sounds like the clutch cover finish is tough enough to withstand a petroleum-based solvent.

Thanks

+1 on the blowtorch and gunpowder. That takes care of about everything.

I like the Agip oil sticker on my 900SS

Yeah but that can damage my delicate skin. I already broke a nail trying to peel it off!
