lowering kit

Hi Everyone,

So I googles Hypermotard lowering kits and found a thread on the subject, however I can not find the thread on here, even though the link was back to this forum...

anyway, that means it exists...

I understand how the rear works, sort of, by basically putting in a shorter link (which there is only one of on the right side.

I'm confused as to how the front is lowered.
Also, if a shorter rear link is put in, the rear is dropped but wouldn't that put the spring under a lot more pressure?

Anyone here have their bike lowered and would you recommend it? I've never been on a track with a bike, and if I do, that may be grounds for divorce

Thanks,

L

One way to lower the front is to slide the forks up the triple clamp (up towards the handle bars). The frame will lower to the ground then.

Best thing though is to try and see how low you can get the seat first. Lowering the bike almost always has a negative impact on the handling.

the height is not a problem to tell you the truth, I just thought it might look good a little lower to the ground...but when I looked at the triple trees, I didn't see much play to make it lower, looks like less than an inch, so I though maybe there was another way...

I don't think I'll be lowering it though...
