Removing red stripe on SP wheel ???
Is that red stripe painted? Cause it doesn't look like the cheap Marchesini sticker next to it. Is there a way to get rid of the stripe without powder coating / painting the wheel? Any Ideas???

Yeah I think im stuck with em. They look painted. Now if the wheel is powdercaoted or anodized or whatever they do other than paint and the stripe was paint maybe some lacquer thinner would remove the stripe and leave the black wheel untouched. I don't know just thinking out loud.

^Okay, you said it first. But don't use Lacquer thinner, it's too strong. Try mineral spirits on a little tiny section and see if they used One-Shot for the striping. If that doesn't work, try gently wiping it with acetone again in a little tiny spot. Whichever works and doesn't make the wheel coating dull or bubbly is the winner, just be careful not to destroy something without being sure first.

Your probably right on the lacquer thinner being to strong. I use that stuff everyday and it is wicked strong. Good call on the mineral spirits. I would love to get rid of the stripe but I would hate to mess up the fininsh on the wheel. Anybody know what the black coating is ??
