Adjusting/using the mirrors
Hi everyone,
just got my hyper yesterday, so I've been trying to ride as much as possible, and although I'm sure a little more riding and I'll be able to answer this question, thought I'd ask it anyway,
how do you use and adjust your mirrors?
what i mean is,
do you fold them in every time, and then, when you ride, fold them out and adjust?
do you just keep them open most of the time?
does tightening also keep the up down angle?
etc...
Thanks,
L

Fold them in most every time I park and definitely at the house. Re adjust as needed. They're always a touch loose due to this and vibrate but still great because I can see past my elbows.

That's what I've been doing, but was wondering if that would still be the case a few months from now...I guess it is
Thanks,

stock vs aftermarket
I was doing the same until I broke one. I installed aftermarket 'Seca 8' mirrors which look cooler (IMHO), but naturally I now have an excellent view of... my elbows! ugh...

It does get a bit annoying after a while, folding them in\out and adjusting them.
I bought a pair of Monster mirrors drilled out the (M8) hole to M10 and fitted them, they work very well and look OK too. Standard mirrors are OK but have to be folded in for filtering between lanes..

+2. Although mine don't vibrate too badly that they need constant tending. I also definitely don't mine having to lift my arm to see behind me.
Be careful, the stock set up is very fragile. There's pretty much no structural support.

The stock mirrors are "ok", however, they tend to vibrate a lot and if you pop a wheelie, the mirror will go a bit up so when you get both wheels back on the ground you can only see the sky( maybe that's just her way of telling me she wants to wheelie more? )
They pretty much suck at filtering though, don't use 'm in the city.
