Technical Q: Hyper vs Hyper EVO dash fitment
So, I was pretty excited about having found a replacement dash for my hyper after buying one from a salvage place together with a new headlight... only to find that this replacement one (from an EVO) didn't fit the fitment from my old bike (2008 Hyper S.)
Am i S.O.L.?... do I try to return it and find a regular hyper dash?.. can i change out the plug? harness?
any technical gurus have any advice on this?
thank you.

I was waiting for your feedback on that... guess it's not a direct fit in the end.
The way I see it, the cheapest solution to get out of that situation is to sell the new (and beautiful) dash and source a used one from a 08-09 Hyper.
An "elegant" solution would be a siemens ECU with a customed DP profile from Anthony @ desmoworks, with a complete wiring harness.
The ECU should be flashed to a DP one but with the 2x O2 sensor disabled to run an open loop.
Or you could try a dash used with a MM ECU, like, hmmm, a 1098 one

ok, sent the EVO dash back and waiting for one from an 08 hyper S... very short sighted of me... EVO vs S has dual vs single spark, different ECU (siemens vs magneti?) and a bunch of other differences.. would have never worked.
my only other option is some sort of logitech dash?

yea but I'm trying to not spend a fortune... If i start messing with wiring harness etc it's a whole different ball game. The salvage place I'm dealing with is supposed to have 2 2008 hypers coming in next week so i should be ok there... will probably have to flash it to get it to work with my ECU but it's an easier proposition. I like the 1098 dash idea but keep in mind how small the space is behind the fairing for a hyper.
