08 Hyper 1100s stalling?
Hey guys as some of you know i just got a bike and so far i put about 600 miles on it and i love it. I have had one problem with it so far and i want to see if anyone else has experienced the same thing. So its only happened twice and both times it came after riding about 100 miles i stop to fill up and after i start the bike and shift into first the bike will shut off. I will do this about 3 to 4 times befor the bike will stay running when i shift it into gear. The clutch seams to be set up fine its not like its trying to take off when i shift it, it just dies. Any ideas?

does it stall if you have it in gear, then pull in the clutch and start it? Does it lurch forward when you try and put it in gear?

And yes i did do searches in this and i know stalling is an issue with some ducati bikes but they dont sound like the problem i am having, maybe so idk.

I start it in neutral shift down to first and it dies no lurch or anything just dies. I can rev the piss out of it and shift, and it still dies....

If the bike idles fine and when you put it in gear it just dies, the clutch needs adjustment or the kickstand is down.  Aloha Alex

From what you're describing, assuming it won't start in gear either, i'd disconnect the kickstand switch to determine if it's bad.
