How come my HM796 has no O2 sensors?
Just noticed that my brand-new 796 is not equipped with the O2 sensors that the parts catalog shows coming out of the 2 exhaust header pipes (see jpeg)?
Am I missing something (so to speak)?
Confused newbie.

OK, service department says there should be a single O2 sensor further down the exhaust system. According to them, the 2 plugged holes are for sensors used during service.
I guess the 2 sensors shown in the drawing I attached are for service (?)

I have both O2 sensors shown in the drawing on my 796. Does service think you have an 1100?

I told them I have a 796.
I'm gonna pay the dealer a visit tomorrow with the parts drawing and sort out this mystery.
Maybe it's a 2011 change.

you should have two of part number 20 in the pic. if you dont the bike would run funny or the dealer remapped your bike(ecu re-flashed) , or your not looking in the right spot.
you did buy the bike new right?
if you dont mind show us with some pics!

Yep, that's exactly what I expected to see. Two sensors (item 20).
I bought the bike brand new. I will take some photos tonight.
The dealer has a new red 796 on the floor as well. I'll take a peek
at that one too and report back.
