My HM is no longer a virgin
Did my first minor mod with only 12 miles on the odometer.
I just could not stand the look of the fugly evap canister mounted
on that cheap bracket.
So I gave my bike a evapcanisterectomy.
(See attached photo of extracted organ)

Typically you would cap off the leads to the throttle bodies or cap off the nipple that is at the base of each throttle body... So three choices. Cap the single lead from both TB's. Cut and cap each lead separate (so you can perform TB sync later in life). Remove all and cap the nipple at the TB base.
Secondly, reconnect the lead from the tank that hooked to the top of the evap can, to the bottom piece coming out of the bottom of the evap can. This ensures any overflow is dumped below the engine... The fuel tank still has to breathe. A simple straight hose connector works fine for this.
At least that is how I've done mine.

I used vacuum caps and capped the nipple at the base of each throttle body.
I left the vent hose from the gas tank (after cutting it at the canister) hang down and secure it with a zip tie
to the other hoses at the bottom.
I didn't get the chance to start the bike after the procedure.

Did mine exactly the same. It will NOT throw a code.

After talking to johnchypermotard, I decided to replace the nipples on the throttle bodies with screws to prevent vacuum leaks.
Thanks John!
