Anyone have experience with the Quant D exhaust on a HYP 796?
Or any HYP perhpas?
This forum is a little scant on the Quat D...perhaps that says something!
Can only legally fit the termi slipons or the Quat D system here is Switzerland, both of which are homologated (Swiss requirement).
Any pics or videos welcome...dyno charts would be fantatstic!
Thanks in advance!

Hi mate
I'm not sure about your statement "can only legally fit the termi slipons or the QuatD system"... there are many other homologated options.
I'm in Switzerland and ride a 796 with an SC-Project pipe and LV de-cat. The pipe itself is homologated (it is provided with a card saying so) but I believe the de-cat invalidates the system from a legal perspective. This is a real shame as the de-cat makes the biggest difference to the sound and I assume the performance...
So if you plan to de-cat - and I would highly recommend it! - homologation isn't really a factor in your exhaust choice.
Good luck!

Thanks ror the feedback....guess I could have phrased that better regarding the homologation.
With the de-cat wont this cause problems with the MFK every 5 years?
I understand very litle of the Swiss MFK system, but get the impression it is far, far, stricter than the UK MOT system.

The cat comes off easily, so it'll go back on easily for the MFK

That sounds more than worth it to me. Switch it back briefly every 5 years. Im guessing the chance of the police noticing a missing cat is pretty slim...guess the most they are likely to look for is the homologation on the exhaust itself?
Any feeling for how clued into this (and the removal of db killers) they are / whats the potential risk (fine?) in Switzerland. I remember when living in the Nethetlands they can (and did to a friend of mine) sieze the vehicle on the spot and later destroy it (no joke) because the exhaust did not conform.

so your going to tell me there isnt one loud motorcycle in your country? im sure more people do this then you think. California is the same way and every loud Harley gets away with it.they dont take the time to enforce it.
so i would say dont worry and do it cause you'll love the sound over stock.

Honestly, Im not sure. Its not my country, hence my question. Filing along traffic stood still is even illegal here, and I have yet to see a biker here break even that rule. First impressions are they are pretty strict over here...I like to know the rules of the game before I play (or bend them!)
