DP Cams discontinued
What's up everybody. I ordered the cams from my local duck dealer a little over a month ago and stopped to pick them up Saturday. Parts guy told me they were discontinued. Anyone know if this is true?
Bike is a 2010 evo

That dosen't make sence, but start calling other Dealers, if its true, call ALL the Dealers & buy 2 sets from their stock, keep one set for yourself, and wait awhile & then you can sell it for double the price! Aloha Alex

That seems very early to discontinue parts.

DP Cams are designed for 1000DS and 1100DS engine.
They would fit a Hyper 1100 evo or evo SP.
Tho, only the Hyper std and S from 2007 to 2009 have a dedicated ECU + cams package.
If Ducati really stop the cam production, which I highly doubt, NCR also offer them for 1000$

are you sure though? notice how you say 1000DS and 1100DS engines, DS standing for dual spark, which the evo is not

Fits:
Hypermotard: 1100/1100S/1100evo/1100evo SP
Monster: S2R1000/1100S/1100S ABS
Multistrada: 1100/1100S
SportClassic: Paul Smart/GT 1000/Sport 1000 Monoposto/Sport 1000 Biposto/Sport 1000S
The heads on our Hyper from 2008 to 2011 are the same.
Tho, I have no idea how the Siemens ECU (DP or stock) does with the racing profil cams installed.
All I know is that the DP Cams ECU on 08-09 Hyper adds an extra 16% of fuel in the mix.

The heads on the Hyper 08/09 are the same, the 10/11 heads have single spark plugs & different combustion chamber shape, with different fueling systems.
But may be close enough in design to run the same DP cams. You just can't run the ECU. So sell the cams ECU & recover some of the money, as the cams ECU is the best one for the 08/09 Hypers. Aloha Alex
