Bought my 2nt HM 1100 today.

First, let me tell the story of how I have come to this. (worth reading)
At the dealership ive previousley bought new Ducat's from. Today they tell me about a HM I should look at. Red 1100 09 stock with 9k mi. The story behind the bike is it is one of the Bikes from the movie "Yes Man" and also made a cameo on the new Hawaii Five-O.
needless to say I bought the bike once the told me the best part... the price
(soo lo I cant say out loud. lol)

So obviousley I have a nice EVO SP with lots of mods alredy. I would like to turn it into more then just a beater or stunt bike. I would like to go SUPER EXTREME.....

ps. i can build...

Obviousely, Ducati has done a great job at advertising their bike in movies. Priceless! And good result!

I saw HM in "Yes man", "7 days 7 nights";Streetfighter in "Wall Street" and "GI Joe"...etc

Congratulations. I can only imagine how pleased I would be with Miself if I had double the Hyper Pleasure

So are You going to have one track bike, and the other a hooligan/stunter?

South Seas in Honolulu had that bike on sale in 09'.(craigslist ad). It's the reason I have a Hyper. I went there to get them to knock the price down and maybe put new tires/chain/etc in the deal.

They wouldn't move on the price. In addition, I later learned (salesman) that it's not an actual bike from the movie like they advertised. It was just the "same kind of bike" as in the yes man movie.

I wound up just ordering new black one.

A good deal is a good deal regardless, however, they are full of shit.

I hope you got it for a steal, in addition, wasn't the one in Hawaii 5-0 either. It's just a demo they're trying to sell under smoke and mirrors. Now, I don't have VIN #'s to prove you wrong however, the same sales pitch seems fishy.
Don't drink the kool-aid. It's easy to lie and get away with it when you are the only Ducati dealer in the middle of the pacific.

Hope you have fun with it.

I checked the bike out top to bottom, it was WELL worth what I paid for it. and I rely don't care if it was or wasent a bike from the movies. (that part was just passing on interesting news)

But I was thinking of removing all bodywork and tank and start bulding a normal MX tank (low and something that mounts to the trellis. )

then make my own low slung seat and make it much more like a MX bike. (maby even something I can jump a dubbel on, or at least take to a real sumo track)

ps I relise I may have to strengthen the head tube for this kinda work. But I would like to see just what type of abuse thees things can take.

Well the hyper is pretty heavy for that kind of work ain't it? No matter how much power you build or parts you strip off.

The steering stops break if it's downed - clearly was not designed with jump and dump in mind. I don't think it will hold up well to abuse like that. But it's your bike man...
