What is the best rubber for your HM

I have had 3 sets of tires so far.

1) stockers
2)last years corsers
3) DUNLOP 616!!!

IMO thes tires handle awsome and look the part. (beefie)
the turn in reminds me of the D364 race tire.

I suggest that you try a set if you haven't had the chance yet.

Have you tried the Pirelli SC or the Michelin Pilot Pures?

Both are great tires for street canyon use.

Good Luck!

Had a lot of headshake with a Michelin front. A Corsa will cure some of the front end problems that are related to the forks. Since I'm tracking mine, I always buy new Corsas for trackdays and finish them off in the street

I am really digging the stock Pirelli rubber. It sticks, heats up fast, and responds well. Can't tell if I like it so much better than Pilot Powers I have had on other bikes because of the tire or the suspension difference. I feel like I get more feedback from them than Dunlop D208s....

I have always found the Dunlop brand to work best for me period.

and yes with the 616 the HM is a solid as a rock (none of that twitchie fealing with the OEM rubber.)

(THANK YOU JIM ALLEN!!!)

On the street I used to use Michelin 2CT and then tried some Pirelli Corsa 3. Never looked back. Great tire has a very nice feel to it. Heats quick and sticks nicely. I once used a set on the track and they were pretty good, I will say that they wore out quick with one track day. Bottom line I would think that and good street tire has enough grip. For me the biggest difference is the feel of turn in it offers me.
I wouldnt rock a Michelin Pilot Pure or a Pirelli SC on the street, too track focused. I did that once on a set of Dunlops 209 on my way to show my track bike for sale and went just around the corner. My rear spun out and almost lost it.

Just put the Michelin Pilot Pures on my S4RS. A WORLD of difference! Those tires are so light, at the extreme outter circumfrence of the unsprung weight, that it's almost exactly like running ceramic rotors!
Can't wait to put a set on my Tard!

I love Pilot Pures. I have them on my GSXR and I wasn't happy with the BattleAx's that came on the Hyper 796 so I put a pure on the rear and it made a world of difference. I think the shape is better for turns.
