Hyper Brake Pedal change
So i scraped up my brake pedal by leaning the bike to hard. Bought a new one but dont really know how to get the old one off. Released the single screw but can't pull it off.
Any advice is appreciated

Tap a flat head screw driver into the split that the screw tightens together.

K thanks. But I was more worried about the fact that the rod the pedal sits on is spring loaded?? wont it rebound?

man ... that's just downright mean.
you forgot to mention the brake return spring, which can really cause some issues if not taken care of before removing the rear brake pedal.
see attached exploded view from hypermotard parts manual.
you need to make sure that you remove item #'s 8, 10 and 11, and have item #37 secured (either by a vise grip or a friend holding it), so when you remove item #24 (the pedal), the spring (item #30, does not spin item # 37 into space (or your engine case).

Sorry, didn't mean to come off that way. I thought your brake lever was "stuck" on the shaft.

If the pedal is stuck on the shaft instead of using using a screw driver. Take the bolt out. Insert a washer in the slot in the pedal thread the bolt in the
opposite direction. and tighten it on the washer. It's alot better way to open it up, no marks, and better control.
