796 lower bar solution

I thought the handlebars on my HM 796 were just a bit too high and I wanted a little more weight on the front end for better feel.

After several bar riser options and attempts....i found that the TAG METALS part number T-4099 S worked the best. These bar holders are exactly the same bolt diameter..and exactly the same bolt length as stock...so they fit perfectly like the stock holder did.

Where they are different than stock is they have an offset mount so you can get the handlebar either 1/4 inch closer...or a 1/4 farther away just by rotating the clamp....and they are about 1/2 inch to 5/8ths inch LOWER than the stock bars. Doesn't sound like much ...but 5/8ths inch lower and a bit farther away from the rider is very noticeable.

Now i can feel the shit front end when cornering hard. Next step for me is the exhaust,...and then Traxxion Dynamic fork cartridges....$1100.00 ouch.

I tried to attach a pic of the new clamps on the bike but it won't work. If someone will send me an e-mail...i can attach a pic and they can post it. Thanks. Bob .....Send to > 76kz900@Bellsouth.net

Seven9six sent me two images of the bars (see below).
It looks like a great idea to get out of the wind and further forward.
Where did you get them from and what was the cost?

Thanks for posting the pics. I got mine on E-Bay but they sell them on the net for a measly $29.95 plus $6.00 shipping. Try TAG METALS . COM part number T-4099 S for Suzukis. Fit perfect and they work.

To note, the 1100 is not the same bar diameter as the 796...in fact the 796 is higher and is a 7/8" while the 1100 is a 1 1/8" bar diameter.
Just wanted to let ya know...
