I almost bit the dust....

Yeah yeah yeah, those who hate me, will have a laugh for a while, but no, I am back..........
Last week I was riding on a 4 lane road, and the Mother Flower driver who was approaching me straigh on, decided to make a "U" turn right in front of me, I started braking as hard as I could, and decided to hold on to the bike till the last second and dodge the Wagon from behind his tail, but the Total Idiot did not even calculate the turn properly and ended up having to stop in the middle of the road because could not complete the turn, thus blocking both my lanes completely, so, at the last 30-35 feet, took a slide and Boom, my knee kissed the tard and I ended up kissing Mother Earth with my chest and laid there unable to get up for half an hour.
The 1100 is scratched on the right side, and the right hand guard is destroyed, plus other scratches and bent things.
I am so greatfull Papa Dios ( God ) let me live again. I finally was able to talk about it today, after a week in bed with a deep depression and lots of body pain and antibiotics and pain killers.
Please friends be carefull outhere, Idiots are on the loose, they will make you fall, they will get on your way, they will make you hurt.
BE CAREFULL GUYS, BE CAREFULL !!!!!
The M.F. aka Total Idiot, has not even contacted me to ask if I am alive still, I only want my bike fixed, by now I`m getting bad thoughs of applying Legal force and make him compensate me for my pain and lost skin.

Thank goodness you survived. Try no to ruminate too much about the incident, as there was nothing you could have done to avoid what happend. You did all you could at the time, the important thing is you're okay. Start riding asap.

Holy hell, I'm glad you're still with us and not permanently messed up. My commute home after reading this was a little terrifying actually, lol. This kind of thing sure makes you realize how quickly shit can go wrong if some idiot isn't paying attention (and that seems to be everyone these days). And don't expect the fool to contact you because I'm sure he's more worried about getting sued than doing the right thing and caring about another human being he almost killed.

I kept coming back to this and thinking you likely did some split second analyzing to avoid major catastrophe. Recover and look at compensation options for the idiot.

That bastage . . . did you notice, in the seemingly miniscule amount of time you had to see if the clown was on a cell?

Yeah the big guy wants you to ride again.

Thanks to all...

I am feeling better every day, I came to work walking today, but can not bend my knee at all, I am doing paperwork and thinking how Beautiful Life is, I am really OK. THANKS TO ALL.
Yesterday I met with an old friend from backhome, who brought his 13 year old son to the Major Hospital here in San Juan, his son was ran over by a car while he and his dad my friend were changing a tire ( to an old lady ) on the side of the road. The kid is on a respirator, with some broken ribs pressing his lungs, big cuts in his head, and all hurt. I have known this guys for a long time, they are very good guys, and they are both riders, the kid has a dirt bike an really is a good kid.
I ask you guys, when he gets better, I will ask him for an email address or his Facebook name so we can send him letters, photos, jokes, etc, that will definitely cheer him up, because he loves bikes, his name is Ian, his Dad name is Felix. I will post a thread about this in a more general Group so everyone can read it and write to him when he is ready.

And BigMac, and all of you, when you come down, drop me a line or call me, 787-948-7790, and I meet you at the Airport, by the way, I work at the Airport. Let me know.

I'd get on the legal stuff right away. Without any threat the insurance companies tend to ignore things as long as they can and then low-ball the hell out of you.

In this instance, I'd have a lawyer starting things up NOW.

Negligence, reckless endangerment, pain/suffering, loss of work and damages are all things that come to mind. I think I would hire the best damn attorney I could get for 30% recover and ruin the bastard.

Figures, my luck it would be some welfare, food stamp, MF'er with no insurance.

Down where I am, the Legal (immigration wise) border crossers typically do not have any insurance. If you don't have "unisured/underinsured" coverage, you are out of pocket on all of your expenses.
