Larger/bigger front sprocket 1100?
Has anyone put a larger front on their 1100? Every post I can find is alll about smaller and I do not understand why. This thing does roll on 2nd gear wheelies and sometimes third. I want more TOP END, not bottom.

If you want top end, the hyper is really a bad choice. Taller gearing will only make the bike accelerate less fast but just reach a higher top speed, and I don't really see the fun in that since at 210km/h it feels as if my head's being ripped off. Sprockets don't cost a whole lot, why just not experiment with it?

Are you wanting more pull or power in the upper rpm range or are you looking for more speed as in mph. Either way gearing the bike up isn't going to help. If you can't hit the rev limiter in top gear now how is adding a taller gear going to help?

They do make a 16t I had one and when u have a faring and a draft it comes in handy on a 2v motor.
another reason would be to give more swing arm chain clearance by making bigger hoops (aka sprockets) for the chain to go around. And depending on the articulation of the swing arm set up. a 16t front could be a plus.
and as my dad says it lets you to be lazy in your shifting.
I say it helps me hold better wheelies (longer, stable & easier)

yes, higher top speed. Gearing it up would give it a higher mph before it hit the limiter
120 mph is simply not enough to ditch cops

FYI: With your stock 15/41 gearing, if you can pull 9000 rpm in 6'th gear you would be going an actual 152 mph. Your speedo will be showing somewhere around 160 mph.
I doubt seriously if your bike can do that now. Putting a bigger front sprocket will just make the situation worse because the bike just doesn't have the power to pull it. You would actually go slower.

I say get the 16t ... all the power is down low anyways.
and applause for pig bating, some people around here need to grow a pair an auchley put things to a real world test, rather then reading in a book about the subject 90% of the authors no nothing about.
ROCK ON Jeff... most of the top riders today are too p.c. to admit they honed there skills on the street doing the same thing, before becoming a pro racer
anyone who thinks otherwise obvious voted for Bush. lol

I wonder if you could go even faster with a 21" wheel on back?
