Who wants a 4.5-5.0 gal HYper gas tank??
Since CA Cycleworks makers of the large 6.9 gal Hypermotard gas tank, seems to have lost interest in making a mid-sized 4.5 -5.0 gal tank that you can run with a performance intake system, such as (Ducshop, TPO, Wasp) I may have found another source.
While at MotoGP I ran into a vendor that has shown a LOT of interest in making a tank for the Hyper, since the tank remains unchanged from 07.
I told him the "projected" retail for the Cycleworks tank was $599-699 range, he said that they might be able to produce it for less, and that they would sell it with a performance intake as part of the tank kit, or if you already have a performance intake you can buy the tank alone.
No deposite or credit card will be needed, they just want to see what type of interest is out there, so given the info above, WHOS INTERESTED?

Just watched the install vids. Is there a side by side pic of the stock and large tank? Would like to see a comparison of the two.
I wonder if CA would be willing to sell the tooling to produce this. Was the tank in the vid a one off prototype? It looks like a candidate for a blow molded part.
Price point will be based largely on projected volume. That would also dictate both tooling material and tooling design. I would bet there are a percentage of owners not on this site or others for that matter that would like a larger tank. . . . . . thinking
