those that have De-catted, Is your exhaust cooler?
Did a long-ish ride with the wife yesterday and she complained about the heat put off by the exhaust again. Does de-catting cool down the exhaust noticably? I was also thinking of redoing the seat and maybe adding extra insulation to the rear of the seat pan.

I would think so.
The CAT is literally a heater box.
Exhaust gases activate the catilist material and it becomes hotter than the exhaust to burn off unused fuel.
Plus its very restrictive.
New highflow cans with decat and richer map, add up to cooler Runnin.
PS: I ass u me shes wearing pants?

Was she getting the heat while stopped or during the ride. I would put the bike on the rear stand, have her sit and show where on the leg she was getting toasty. Maybe you can do something with pipe wrap. Was she in riding pants?
I only notice the heat on the Hyper at stops. Other than that nothing, but I have no clue as to what a passenger would feel. Good luck!

My wife complains about heat in the seat not on her legs. My solution was to remove the passenger pegs so that she couldn't go!

While moving. She said anytime we got above 50mph is when she noticed it the most. The faster we went above 50 the worse it became. She never mention her legs just her ass. She said when she tries to hold on the grab plate it is hot on her hands as well.
