Anyone use MX pegs on their hyper?

I know there is a lot of rearset goodies to choose from for the hyper, however:

1. They're too pricey for a rear set, the rear set for my 749 was $150 whilst the cheapest for the hyper is $490 dollars

2. I don't like the look of (SBK like) race pegs on a SM style bike


So I was wondering, who's ever fitted a different footpeg to his/her hyper. My brother has RFX anodised pegs for his KTM 525 EXC SM which look and feel absolutely amazing, and they're not so expensive.

I'm wondering if it will fit the hyper.

or maybe red would be better suited?

I have the Woodcraft rearsets, and I have considered picking up some IMS or some other beefy MX footpeg to machine a fit...

Yeah I've done that, but it looks really crap to be honest, especially mine which have seen a bit of weather.

Mx footpegs offer awesome grip but be prepared for some good scratches on your boots and small tears in your pants. I have a set of pro taper platforms on my yz and they are nasty sharp. They also tear up the sole of your boots quickly, not a problem for track boots with replaceable sole centers but you could destroy a set of street riding boots in a hurry. They do give you good bike control with minimal pressure though.
