Bent a rotor... What are my options?
I (quite bone-headedly ) tried to leave work today before taking off my disc lock, and now I have a slight (but very annoying) braking pulse. I'm so mad at myself... I didn't fall, but still. At any rate, I slapped a straight edge on the rotor when I got home, and sure enough there is a slight wave in it. Is this the sort of thing that can be corrected with fine sand paper and a lot of patience, or should I start shopping for a new rotor?
Oh, and I know a disc lock won't stop a determined thief. I've been using the lock for about 3 years to discourage any would-be opportunists...

I have seen them straightened and work well but they are so critical that I would just replace it.

Check to see if your rotor is the same as some of the other Ducati's. If they are...look on E-Bay....or check the Internet bike salvage yards. I'd hate to have to take out a bank loan to pay for a new rotor from Ducati.

That's what I'm starting to realize... Holy crap! Does anybody know of a decent aftermarket replacement that isn't $800 (or more)?

I straightened a 320mm one on my KTM with various spanners, leather and garden implements. No pulsing so I figured I was good to go.

Thanks, guys! I'm placing the order from Gotham now.
I'm a bit worried, though... A couple years ago, I bought a used exhaust for my DR-Z. It was a massive PITA to intall, so (in a fit of busted knuckle induced rage) I made my wife promise to punch me in the junk as hard as she can if I ever bought a used part for a motorcycle again...
