Monobock calpipers on non-s
just picked up a 2008 hyper 1100. Im wondering if the monobloc calipers will bolt right on and I can use my same rotors? Do i need the "S" forks as well?
Thanks

I have both a standard and an "s" and it looks to me like they would bolt right up. I believe the forks are the same on both models just a different color. Honestly though I've put a bunch of miles on both and you may find the upgrade is not worth it.

Thanks for the response.
I just hear so much about these monobocs, and my buddy with an "s" gives me shit about it lol.
The bike is light enough and seems to stop well as is, maybe ill keep them the way they are.

You could always test ride an "s" to see if you think its worth it.

They are interchangeable. I have an "S" and a non "S" and hard to tell the difference. I also have a Monster S4rs with non monoblocks and I reckon it has way better brakes than my Hyper "S"..........
I have read here somewhere that the non monoblocks have more feel.

You could also get a set of 999S/999R/ Aprilia RSV Factory radial calipers. Best brakes around.

The standard brembo's work very good with a good set of HH pads. I use EBC because vesrah wasn't available when I upgraded. For the price to upgrade to the monblocks, you could easily get a billet master cylinder, HH brakes, and possibly wave rotors. But, all that on a high 300+ street bike is overkill.

your buddy is just being silly, i have an s, and they are good brakes, but i highly doubt it is worth a change from what you have, change pads if you want more power
