Ohlins/Ducabike damper combo?

I was going to pick up the Ducabike damper mount kit but don't know what size Ohlins damper to get (63-120mm). They say use the Ohlins suggested size but can't find that info now that I need it. I got a nice wobble today at 95 that convinced me I may need a damper since my sag has been set and (I think) my weight is ok for the stock springs on the street.

Yeah, I wrote the ducabike guy twice asking about which Ohlins damper and he insisted that I should use the same one that comes stock on a Hyper. I bought a GPR and love it.

I like the price...more reasonable than other brands.
Which type do you have...the Active or non-Active type?

I called Motowheels to order the Ducabike clamps (141) and ohlins 68mm (299) to find out that there are fitment issues with the set up. So at 440 I think that it was the most reasonably priced option but not worth the hassle if it doesn't fit well. I think I may start looking for a rotary style now that I have heard of 3 different brands with fitment issues.

I love my GPR and I understand that they make one for the 796. It was about a 20 minute install and is easily adjustable. A gloved thumb on the adjustment wheel and you're done. I set mine low for around town and crank it up on the fly as I am going faster. GPR also has a lifetime guarantee. I think it was $450-something which is about as low as anything out there.

i believe i only payed $399 for the whole kit through anntori dist. and its an active unit. once you get front suspension dialed in you find that this bike doesnt even need an dampner..once i did ohlins carts it changed all the bad characteristics of this mardooki frontend..this front end can also be solved with just spring rate and oil/valving..i just went with carts since i got em for $500 used..but i guess a dampner cant hurt.

Another little update. Ducabike said to use the 1198 sized damper and if there are clearance issues buy their 1198 clamp kit ($99 extra) so it would then mount like a Kyle Racing Ohlins kit then.
