Termi slip-ons baffle question
Found a few threads relating to running without baffles hurting anything without swapping ECUs, but it seems most responses weren't too specific and generally sounded like "it shouldn't". Doing this exhaust mod in stages (HM 796) and just put on the slip-on cans but have NOT swapped the ECU or replaced the airbox cover yet. It's been mentioned that putting in the new ECU without removing the cat would make it run too rich.
I need to keep the exhaust relatively quiet so at this point I'm planning on just removing one baffle. The question is, will this potentially hurt anything? She's still under warranty so I'm treading lightly.

Slip- ons with the airbox lid changed run perfectly fine with the stock ECU. The racing ECU supplied with the slip-ons should only be installed after stacks and headers.

My 796 had the Termi 2-2 slip ons, ECU, and Airbox mod added from the dealer before I even picked up the bike. It is a common practice.

I installed mine myself but have the kit whole kit installed and my bike runs better now than stock. The ECU comes with the kit because it is already setup for these mods to take place and gives you a richer map to make up for them.
The baffle does nothing more than quiet the bike down, but who would want to do that?

Did you reset the TPS yourself or take it to the dealer?

Hmm...the more I read the more I think we won't have to reset the TPS since it uses the Siemens M3C that's supposed to auto reset it.

Take the silencers out. It is not overly loud from the stock pipes, it just sounds a lot nicer..

Actually took only one out and it's way nicer even with the cat still in!
