Is the Ducati-brand Comfort Seat any good?
I have an 08 HM 1100. The seat's not awful, but it can be a little rough on long rides. There's a used comfort seat nearby for a decent price, and I was wondering if it's a worthy replacement. Thanks!

Corbin's Seat's
Yes its better than the oem-seat,i believe its a gel type, they do get really hot in the sun though and take a while to cool down.I got back yesterday from Corbin's in hollister,ca. and i am having a custom seat made, they have a patent on there memory-foam which is the best worldwide,go to there web site, great prices, awesome people.

I have the DP comfort seat, mainly because it's 2 cm's lower than the standard seat. The comfort seat looks better than the standard seat, but I find it less comfortable (but not so much that it's an issue).

redkite, you have the lowered seat. the dp comfort seat is the same height as the stock seat, the tip of the seat towards the tank is a little higher, so our man jewels don't hit the tank on braking, and is made of high density foam.

The lowered seat and the comfort seat are the same.
The only other option besides that and the stock seat (from Ducati) is the DP Racing seat.

Sorry rietveld, but you are describing the DP racing seat. As confirmed by D. Dave above the DP Comfort seat is the lowered seat.

Something to consider with the DP comfort seat. If you are tall and have long legs, the DP seat will lower you thus making your legs bend more (I'm 5'11"). I found it hard to lean forward or hang off the bike with this seat. And if you have a non S version, you cant raise the bike up unless you buy the adjustable height rod. I ended up with the race seat but I had someone redo the foam to a softer type.
