is this an 100 EVO flywheel?

just got here from ebay. don't have a scale here at work but it doesn't feel very "lightweight". title should have said 1100 EVO, not 100 EVO.

well no response but it was obvious when I pulled the old one that the new one was way smaller/lighter. couple things making me nervous though, the 08 1100 flywheel has a lock ring over the roller bearings for the ring gear and the EVO one does not. The EVO one doesn't even have the little slots in the bearing race for the lock ring. also The 08 one has some type of steel ring around the inside where the magneto bolts to the flywheel and the EVO one has nothing. anyone had a look at these before? I would love to know if anything is missing from the EVO one I bought or if it is just built differently (hoping so).

thanks for any input.

Yota,

Don't be offended by the "no reply" thing. There are only a handfull of folks on here that have changed the flywheel and an even smaller segment that has done it themselves.

I looked at it, but with my bike being a 2008, I really couldn't compare.

Dave

hey Dave, wasn't offended at all, figured that was why no one responded. If anyone else is thinking about this I can't speak yet to how it works but if I had not stopped work with my doubts it would have been an hour or hour and a quarter job.

you can download the parts manual and make sure what parts you need or to verify if your missing parts.that way you sure.

I did that already, doesn't show the parts on either the 08 or the EVO flywheel.

did about an hour ride (intermittent rain), interesting change. lost that low rpm roll on grunt for sure but seems overall a smoother ride. conversely, it seems to vibrate a little more at idle. did not notice a problem with more engine breaking, seemed like less actually.
