Cams ECU scrolls "Simons* r*cin* r"
Curious, maybe somebody will know about this...
I just installed the Cams ECU P/N 96519208B. When the key is turned on USA pops up on the dash, but the scrolling model reads: "Simons* r*cin* r"
Is that right? I thought it would read "HYM RACING PWR" or something of the like. I haven't got it on the road yet because I'm about to install the collectors whenever they show up, but I wan't to know if this ECU is messed up. Strange that the scrolling has asterisks in it.
Any clues?

During a reflash of the ECU it is possible to change the welcome text. Seems like the PO of your ECU did just that.

Scrolling text
Greetings,
I just had a brand new ECU, Cam kit and ergals installed by the dealer in January, my display scrolls the exact same text on start. My kit was brand new by the way...
No issues from my point of view...
Best regards,
Joe

Thank you for the replies....this ECU was brand new as well. As soon as I disconnect the o2 and exhaust flapper we'll see if runs good with no DTCs. I could care less what the scrolling txt is as long as it doesn't call me any names.

Hahaha.....imagine?!!?
So you turn on your bike and the gauge lights up and says:
"Get off Asshole"

My Ducati dealer flashes ECU's. He told me that one of his customers, a fellow Hyper rider, had asked for the line:
Rijden homo.
(which translates to drive you fag)
Which he now has
Initialy mine read "Simons* r*cin* r" as well, but it now reads:

Good to know, I was hoping it wasn't a bad ecu or something. Bike seems to run up and down there street ok, so F it, I'm going to leave it alone.
