Oil lines

Riding down I-75 y'day afternoon (HOT) in brooksville (50 miles from anything)
down shift a gear n crank to pass a truck- no issues , look back in my mirror n c a bit of smoke, I think nothing of it - having just passed a diesel truck.
look back in my mirror bout a twist or 2 later n see MORE smoke, look down n my boot is filled w oil - I thought I lost the oil filler cap, (happened before w one of those alloy ones).
neway when I stop at some deserted exit
look down to c what happened???
just changed my oil - did I forget to tighten the filter down?
oil filler cap is still in place.
did I crack the case?
finally I get to the radiator - maybe a stone hit it -
NOPE, the DARN OIL hose that goes from the radiator to the engine came loose.
got little yellow paint on it & it did'nt line up.
SO there it was.

Mates, let me tell ya - the bike was SMOKING, I have my pipes wrapped & now SOAKING in oil & smoking.
oil on my seat, under my bike, on my rear indicators...fcukin dripping.
NO OIL in the engine -
100+ degrees in the florida sun
my rear brake is DEAD ( & still is)
my rim n tire were covered in oil - it's fcukin amazing I did'nt wipe out.
or sieze.
the mechi, that helped tow the bike to his "local" 7 mile away gas station was loosing it when he saw my tire.
Well mates - my bikes always been the rattly kind - & can only assume some others out there may also be.
CHECK YOUR OIL LINES please.

Thanks for the heads up, I hope your motor is not damaged internally, did the hose come off the motor or cooler?
Aloha Alex
