Aftermarket intergrated tail light question

I am deployed right now so about 7500 miles away from my bike and can't look at it to try to figure it out. Last year I dropped an end table that was stored in my garage on the bike. It broke the tail light, and I am trying to decide between the stock one or integrated tail light with turn signals.

There are a few on ebay and they say they are easy to install but wondering if anyone has went this route recently and if it is as easy as they say? From reading it sounds like I might have to take the connectors off the old turn signals??

I am less than a month from going home and I want to be able to ride as soon as I get there, so I am trying to decide if I should just get the stock one and make it easier to switch. I want to ride. I broke my foot last year so I will be off the bike for about a year by the time I get to ride.
