K&N velocity stack air filters on hyper
DId a search and have seen a lot of issues with hypermotar airboxes.
I'm looking at possibly buying a hyper motard which has K&N velocity stack air filters (see pic). it appears the airbox has been removed. Is this a legit mod, bike is an S model and loaded with goodies at a fair price, 2008 model
Any thoughts?
Chris

That's a very common mod. The stock airboxes on these bikes are HORRIBLE.

You seem like a nice guy Chris, so I'll tell you what I can do.....
If you're not comfortable with your K&N set-up, I'll trade you straight across with my "just as new" airbox. I'll even pay shipping.
Ehhh, you don't have to thank me but sure.....if I ever see you someplace, I'll let you buy me a beer for your gratitude....

I'm just glad another Hyper/SF combo person is expelled from the womb that lives an hour from me... that is if he buys one.

Thanks for all the info guys!! Dave! A great offer
Bill, pretty sure I'm going with a tard, just too fun to pass on. But going to look at a monster evo today just in case it calls to me louder than a hyper!

If your more of a casual street bike rider, like riding to work, 7-11 or the park, get the Monster, but if your more of a Hoolagan type rider, and love canyons & corners, crappy roads, wheelies, stopies, burnouts, & want to do some track days, get the Hyper.
And besides the Monster is BUTT ugly.....IMHO Aloha Alex
