Proud new owner of a white 08 S!

Traded off my S2R1K last night for a Hyper S with Leo pipes and a lightened flywheel. First impressions: seat too firm, have to pull in the clutch to use the mirrors, other than that, awesome!! Look forward to moving into this particular sub-forum and checking out the mods everyone is doing.

Nice one, and welcome to the club. Was it painted? I didn't think they did white in 08.

The original owner really wanted a white/red frame but wanted an S. Dealer swapped the skins with another bike on the floor while it just had an MSO, titled as an 08 White S, one of a kind! (sort of, not really since it was a dealer change and not factory)

You might be disappointed. We don't mod our Hypers!

There is a thread in the hall of wisdom. I used a duplicolor Toyota super red III or something like that from Autozone. Cost $11 bucks compaired to the real Ducati paint being $33 for half the size spray can.

I have since ditched the doofy mirrors, pegs, windscreen and added red Duc logos to the carbon sides.

This is my solution to the mirror problem:

Very cheap, very low "exposure", very effective. Great field of view, thanks to the mirror-surface being arched. No vibration issues, because they are closer to the center and rubber-padded. Those are called Zefal Spy Mirrors and cost € 11,- each.

Best regards...

Interesting solution. Had one of those on a Dutch-style bicycle for around town. I can surely attest to that rubber mount being solid as a rock. Getting pretty damn sick of messing with those stocks mirrors.

Can you actually see well enough to see if someone's not planning on stopping when you're sitting at a light? That's the only reason I care to have mirrors at all these days.
